KATJEPULT is a free indie game by Brad's Games. This game will have you control a cat as it goes on an adventure across an embroidered world. The catch is that there are cliffs everywhere, and the cat must jump to avoid dying.
The gameplay for KATJEPULT is simple since you only have to press the space bar to make the cat jump. The challenge lies in focusing on the cat and not on the charming embroidered map. Everything in the game looks like a living craft that you will end up looking at the environment rather than the cat.
How do you play this game?
Playing KATJEPULT is simple. As with other running games, you will control your character—this time a cat—as it runs in a fixed direction. The longer the distance that the cat runs, the higher your score will be. The challenge is that the map is full of cliffs. You must not fall off any of them to avoid dying. Moreover, some yarns can make the cat lose momentum.
But what offsets KATJEPUL's simple mechanics is its unique map. As mentioned, it features an embroidered world, and this style makes the game look charming. Everything looks happy. Even the mountains in the background are grinning away as they watch the cat run and jump. However, the living craft look of the map makes it difficult for you to focus on controlling the cat well.
However, once the charm of the lovely embroidered map wears off, you will see that the game is very plain. There isn't much challenge other than the frequent appearance of the cliffs. But that can be easily overcome as you only need to press the spacebar to jump. Over time, such a lack of gameplay variety can make the game repetitive and boring.

All in all, KATJEPULT is a simple game that you can play to pass the time. It offers simple gameplay that does not require any learning curve. Even better, it comes with an absurdly charming map. Although, it does not offer much in terms of gameplay variety. Once the novelty of the unique visual wears off, you will see that the game is rather repetitive.
